Eike Voss is an industrial designer with an emphasis on consumer products and furniture design.
He is fascinated by the interplay between product and production method. He seeks for design projects that show an intensive examination of material and method of production comprising environmental and sustainability factors.
To him, modern design is about reflecting on existing assumptions, which means to generally question the way products are produced or their value to people and daring to consider radical approaches.
He graduated from Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel, Germany in July 2016 with a Bachelor in Industrial Design. Then he moved to Hamburg, where he started working as a freelance designer in September 2016. Until January 2018 he mainly worked for the product design studio PostlerFerguson in London and Hamburg before moving to Berlin. In October 2018 he joined the Product Design masters programme at Universität der Künste, Berlin from which he graduated with a Master of Arts in 2021. After a few freelance projects for Berlin based creative studio acte™ in 2019, they together created the furniture and exhibition system APS™ in 2020. Besides his role as co-director of APS™, since September 2021 he works for one of the worlds leading outdoor furniture brands DEDON.
